WE ARE AMONG THE NAPA VALLEY'S FIRST GREEN CERTIFICATED BUSINESSES

On October 15, 2007, eco-Organize became the eighth business in the Napa Valley to acquire certification from the Bay Area Green Business Program.  This Program verifies that businesses meet higher standards of environmental performance.  It was developed by Bay Area local governments in collaboration with US EPA, Cal EPA Department of Toxic Substances Control, and the business community. The Program is coordinated by ABAG (Association of Bay Area Governments) and currently there are nine participating counties.  To find out more about this program, visit www.greenbiz.ca.gov.

ECO-ORGANIZE TAKES ON NAPA CHAMBER LEADERSHIP ROLE

In December 2007, Toni Renee and Paul Rodman of Green Method Construction, partnered in their proposal for the Napa Chamber of Commerce’s first “green” committee.  The Green & Sustainable Practices Committee (aka GASP) was born.  The goals of this committee including providing a forum for open communication to enhance cooperation and coordination among Napa businesses and our community, to provide programming to increase awareness about the importance of being eco-friendly in our business practices and everyday life, to help educate our businesses and community regarding green topics and issues, to serve as a networking hub promoting green businesses and practices, and to serve as advocates for green business viability and environmental sustainability.   Toni Renee chairs the GASP Committee, which will meet every first Wednesday from 730a to 9a at the Napa Chamber offices.
